Shiela Tiongco joins MullenLowe Philippines as new Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor Posted on

MullenLowe Philippines has hired Shiela Tiongco as its new Defence Against the Dark — ok, fine, new Head of Creative Technology.

Shiela’s background is in information technology and programming. She entered advertising in 2007 as an interactive producer and main in-house programmer for Ogilvy One, in charge of site build, database management for CRM, and creative feasibility.

She then moved to Ace Saatchi & Saatchi where, as Digital Director, she was responsible for building the digital team. She led site and app production, performance monitoring and campaign analysis. She introduced services such as analytics, online PR, online media planning and buying, and social media management.

Brands she has done notable work for include PLDT MyDSL, Diageo (Johnnie Walker and Captain Morgan), Nike, and Motorola. In 2013, she was the no.1 Digital Manager in Adobo Magazine’s Creative Rankings.

“Having consulted with MullenLowe on multiple projects over the past two years, I knew this was the one agency that I would be willing to work full-time for. I appreciate the challenger philosophy and intention to innovate not just in our output, but also in how we do things. Every day, we work to become even more hyperbundled,” says Shiela.

“Shiela’s mix of skills and experience comes at the right time, as we continue to grow our digital offerings and increase digital fluency across the entire agency. Working together, we look forward to digital strategy and solutions, and the occasional Disarming Charm, that add value and dynamism to our clients’ brands,” says Leigh Reyes, MullenLowe president.
